The Charlotte Jewish News -September 2011 - Page 32 A New Year and A New Home for Havurat Tikvah It seems appropriate... new beginnings for a new year. This year our “new beginnings” eome in the form of a new home for Havurat Tikvah. We’re still een- trally loeated in the Dilworth neighborhood, but we’ve moved our serviees and most of our fami ly and eommunity programs to Avondale Presbyterian Chureh (2821 Park Road). Avondale will be providing us with an assortment of large and small spaee options to enhanee the spiritual and edueational needs of the eommunity. We have aeeess to their lovely meditation garden and their well-equipped kitehen faeili- ties will allow us to earry on our tradition of informal post-serviee pot luek lunehes and dinners. We send speeial thanks to Rev. James MeQuiston (formerly min ister of St. Andrews Presbyterian Chureh), Rev. Brad Clayton (Assoeiate Pastor at Avondale), and our friends throughout the Presbytery for their support and help in finding our new loeation. Appropriately enough, the “house-warming” for our new faeilities will eoineide with High Holy Day serviees. As always, we invite those looking for a plaee to eelebrate the holidays to join us for our member-led serviees. First time attendees and eollege stu dents are weleome to partieipate at no eost.
