Ohavim BBG - A Month of Sisterhood - What a Great Start to the Year By Mimi Brown September was an amazing month for Ohavim BBG. We start ed off the month with a fantastic joint program with our sister chap ter, Chai Chaverim BBG. This was our first program with the current MIT (Members-In-Training) class, and it was a huge success. The following week, we had the annual chapter visit program. Ail of the MITs spent 45 minutes with Chai Chaverim and 45 min utes with Ohavim. This way, they could get a feel for each chapter and have a better idea of where they would like to be. The following week, September 20, we had a joint games program with Chai Chaverim BBG. September was a month filled with loving sisterhood and amaz ing programs with our sister chap ter. By the end of the month, every new member had been assigned to her own chapter, so now we can really get started with an amazing year of bonding and friendship. Our schedule has been planned for the rest of the term through January. Our October program, planned ‘ by Abby Ehrlich and our very own Charlotte Jewish Preschool (Continued from page 9) child. However, when you stop to think about a great preschool, one would have to think of the overall goal for developing children. Parents, educators, and adminis tration would tell you that the goal is to develop strong, inde pendent people whom have good faith, self confidence and worth, the ability to make good choices and have a love for learning that guides them throughout their lives. To accomplish such a colos sal task, the entire pre-school and community need to encompass the needs of the whole child. It should be an environment that is enriching and exposes the chil dren to all kinds of experiences; especially ones that light up your senses and stimulate your mind. As I wander the halls, I now know how a preschool should be. ‘‘A leader who doesn’t hesitate before he sends his nation into battle is not fit to be a leader.” - Golda Meir in Joseph Telushkin’s Jewish Wisdom bbyo Larry Horowitz, CLU, ChFC Financial 5950 Fairview Road, Suite 608 Charlotte, NC 28210 (704) 556-9982, Fax (704) 369-2918 www.L2financial.com Helping in the CREATION, PRESERVATION & DISTRIBUTION of your Estate Larry Horowitz is an Investment Advisor Representative of. and offers securities, and investment advisory services through Woodbury Financial Services, Inc.
