Learn to Lead an Evening
Minyan
December 7 and 14 at 7:45 PM
The experience of leading fel
low Jews in prayer is very gratify
ing and when it comes to the
weekday evening service, you
don’t even need a great voice, just
a pleasant one. If you have that,
and can read Hebrew without a
straggle, then you have what it
takes to lead a weekday minyan.

Having a corps of lay minyan
leaders is a great credit to a con
gregation, and the skill comes in
very handy.

(Continued from page 4)
ries we can carry with us.
Chanukah reminds us that we
ourselves make the light of God
manifest in the world. There is no
better gift we could give each
other than a blessing which does
exactly that. If you join us, share a
blessing. Pick up the pen and
paper, drop your blessing in the
bowl, receive one for yourself
later, and go home knowing that
Chanukah - like all our festivals -
is about making connections and
creating community.
Temple Or Olam is a Jewish
Renewal community serving
Cabarrus county and parts of
Mecklenburg county, including
University City, Davidson, and
Huntersville. We welcome mem
