Shavuot is the time when we eommemorate God’s giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai and a time to eelebrate the true heroes of this holiday whieh are the ehildren. Before God gave the Torah, He demanded guaran tors. The Jewish people made a number of suggestions all rejeeted by God until they deelared, “Our ehildren will be our guarantors that we will eherish and observe the Torah.” God immediately aeeepted them and agreed to give the Torah.
