Executive Director
Bob Stickler to Lead Orchestra During Search Process

Bob Stickler will
assume the position
of Interim Exeeutive
Direetor. Stiekler, a
eurrent Charlotte
Symphony board
member, is reeently
retired from Bank of
Ameriea having
served as Communieations
Exeeutive supporting Ken Lewis,
former Bank of Ameriea
President.
In his tasks on behalf of the
Charlotte Symphony, Stiekler has
worked insightfully and effeetive-
ly. Stiekler was President of the
Oratorio Singers of Charlotte
Board of Direetors from 2008
through 2010 and has served on
various eommittees within the
organization.

Exeeutive Direetor Jonathan
Martin, who has been with the
organization sinee 2008. Martin
has aeeepted the position of CEO
at the Dallas Symphony
Orehestra.
The board today also
announees that Richard Osborne
has agreed to lead the seareh eom-
mittee that will develop and
implement the formal seareh
proeess for the Symphony’s new
exeeutive direetor. Osborne eomes
to this position with a wealth of
experienee, ineluding previous
serviee as both Chairperson of the
board and former Interim
Exeeutive Direetor.
Founded in 1932, the Charlotte
Symphony aspires to serve the
whole eommunity through elassi-
eal musie that edueates, entertains
and enriehes. The orehestra’s
reeently launehed New Ameriean
Orehestra Campaign will provide
the finaneial stability for the
Symphony to build a renewed and
sustainable funding model. A non-
traditional venture, the New
Ameriean Orehestra Campaign
seeks to address the immediate
nature of the need through eom-
munity-wide operating support.
Through edueation, innovation
and relentless passion, the
Charlotte Symphony has served
the eommunity for 80 years and is
a vital organization that fervently
believes in the artistie enriehment

known for his role in “A Few
Good Men,” but Jewish audienees
everywhere more likely reeognize
him from Barry Levinson’s
“Avalon,” a semi-biographieal
film about Levinson’s family in
Baltimore.
But it is his role as a stand-up
eomedian that will be on display
September 27-29 at the Comedy
Zone in the NC Musie Faetory in
Charlotte.
