The Charlotte Jewish News - October 2012 - Page 5 I i i Federation 2012 Campaign Team Accomplishes Goals We thank 2012 Campaign co-chairs Linda Seigel and Rich Osborne for their lead ership, and the entire Campaign Team for its extraordinary efforts in com pleting, meeting and exceed ing the 2012 Goal of $3,200,000 and closing the campaign in record time. 2012 Campaign Highlights were: A matching gift pool of $37,600 was secured which motivated donors to make new and increased gifts, and encouraged campaign team members to meet face-to-face with donors. Successful increases were achieved within our affinity groups: * three new or recovered Major Donor Families ($10,000 per household) * four new or recovered Lions of Judah ($5,000 to Women’s Philanthropy) * eight new members of the Pomegranate Society ($1800 to Women’s Philanthropy) * seven new members of the Ben-Gurion Society ($1,000-1- from households 21^5) * 12 inaugural members of the new Impact $365 Club (for households 21^5) Increased gifts decreases by 3:1. outnumbered Women’s Spring Lecture brought in the highest corporate dollars and sponsorships to date: $21,844. Campaign team met the $50,000 Levine Challenge a full two months ahead of 2011, clos ing active campaigning by May 31. Sixty-seven solicitors closed campaign cards $365 and up. Our group got a chance to experience an age-old tradition first hand - picking some deli cious apples from the orchards and learning how honey is made. The day included a fun hay-ride and some yummy apple cider. In addition to a bag full of fresh apples, each family took home a Rosh Hashanah goody bag compli ments of the Jewish Federation and our beneficiary agencies - Charlotte Jewish Pre-School, Levine JCC, Levine-Sklut Judaic Library, and the Jewish Pre-School on Sardis.
