The Charlotte Jewish News - February 2013 - Page 19 The Charlotte Jewish Film Festival - We’ve Got an App for That JCC Donations Every year, the Charlotte Jew ish Film Festival looks for ways to reaeh more people so we ean share our fantastie films with everyone. We are exeited about two new avenues we feel will help to bring the Festival to new demo graphies: our new smartphone app and an early ehildhood film and program. That’s right, read about all the award-winning films and pur- ehase tiekets right from your smartphone. The Charlotte Jewish Film Festival was awarded a grant by the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte Community Im- paet Fund to develop a mobile app eompatible with iPhone/iPad and android operating systems. This app has been developed under the guidanee of Stan Rose by Dr. Farhad Javidi, CEO, and President of Symbrio Corporation of Char lotte, a national leader in games and app development. You ean download the app for free from your eellphone provider’s app store, referenee CLT Jewish Film Festival. This year the Festival has something for our presehoolers, too. Join us on Sunday, Mareh 3 for the film The Seder on Planet Matzah Ball at Goreliek Flail, Levine JCC, 10:30 AM. No one on Planet Matzah Ball knows how to run a Seder, so Oogy (an adorable Muppet-like eharaeter) travels to Earth to find out all about Pesaeh. Film will be fol lowed by a eraft projeet. This free program is eo-sponsored by the Levine-Sklut Judaiea Library and is sure to be great fun for you and your little ones. The 9th Annual Charlotte Jew ish Film Festival is just around the eomer, mark your ealendars for Mareh 2-17 and make sure to eheek out these international films that run the gamut from doeumen- tary to romantie eomedy to family drama - there is sure to be some thing that eaptures your imagina tion and your heart. Don’t forget that you ean see all of them with the All-Festival Pass for $85 ($30 in savings). Tiekets ean be pur- ehased at www.eharlottejewish- film.eom, at the Levine-Sklut Judaiea Library (a staff member will help you with your internet purehase), or in person at the Levine JCC on February 17 (be fore and after the Jewish Film So- eiety of Charlotte sereening of Crossing Delaney) and February 24 from 12-3 PM.
