Ariel moved to Charlotte 2 14 years ago, becoming an active member in the Jewish community, working for the Levine JCC as the Teen and Group Services Coordinator. Ariel grew up in Raleigh, NC, where she was actively involved in Beth Meyer Synagogue’s Kadima and USY programs. She attended Camp Ramah Darom for eight years. Prior to moving to Charlotte, Ariel lived in Chapel Hill, NC, where she received an undergraduate degree in Interna tional Relations in Middle Eastern Politics and a post-baccalaureate degree in Middle Grades Education. Ariel taught at the Community Midrasha of Durham-Chapel Hill and served as the USY and Kadima advisor for Beth Meyer Synagogue. Ariel is extremely thrilled to be joining the Temple Israel family as the Youth Director. She is passionate about working in the Jewish community and looks forward to building and growing youth programs. Through small group study and large group discussion, we will experience the development of Jewish Ethics and the directive to ensure social justice.
