Help Us
Please support us for the many
benefits that having a Library on
the Shalom Park campus offers:
1. Why go to Starbucks? The li
brary is a quiet, convenient spot
that offers free coffee and WiFi
right here on Shalom Park. It is
the perfect place to relax, read,
study, or meet a friend.
2. “Would you say we have a
plethora?” Oh yes, we have a
plethora of books. But, if you pre
fer to read on a kindle, come-and
check out our new selection of
ebooks available through our kin
dle borrowing program.
3. “Ani ohev Eretz Yisrael!” I’d
like to go to Israel, but I don’t
know what to expect. We have
everything from free maps, re
sources, books, and movies.
4. “I don’t think there is any
thing in that black bag for me,”
Dorothy said to the wizard. If
reading is not really your thing,
we have games, movies, posters,
Chanukah kits, Passover Hag-
gadot kits, etc.
5. Popular programming
abounds. We offer book clubs and
author visits, a fall film series,
teacher workshops, and exhibits.
6. Magnificent Melton - now
in its 4th year - is a huge success.
Adult Jewish education has
jumped to a new level since the li
brary brought the Florence
Melton School for Adult Jewish
Learning to Charlotte.
7. “One fish, two fish, white-
fish, gefilte fish.” Children’s liter
acy is fun at the library. Ms.-
Debby’s story time is cherished
by kids near and far. We offer
hands-on activities in the Chil
dren’s Library, including a Scav
enger Hunt.
8. “Who ya gonna call?” If you
are curious about the history of
Jewish Charlotte, our librarians
will be able to help you. The Jew
ish Historical Society of Charlotte
is housed in the library.
9. It’s all free. There are no
membership fees. There are no
late fees.
But, how are we able to offer
all of this? With your financial
help. We can only offer all of
these programs and services with
your generous support.
