Meet the Man Who Took on Helen
Thomas at the White House
David Nesenoff is Coming to Charlotte on November 24
Come join us and meet
Rabbi David Nesenoff as we
hear, first hand, about his now
famous video interview with
Helen Thomas at the White-
house. Rabbi Nesenoff is an
American rabbi, independent
filmmaker, singer/songwriter
of contemporary Jewish music,
and blogger. He has been inter
viewed and quoted in The New
York Times, has written a col
umn published in -The Wash
ington Post, and has appeared
on Fox News and CNN’s Reliable
Sources program.
Nesenoff gained international
attention in the summer of 2010
when he posted his candid video
with Helen Thomas on his web
site. It immediately went viral,
getting over one million hits on
YouTube within 48 hours. Helen
Thomas was forced to resign her
job over the interview and her
comments, and Nesenoff received
over 25,000 pieces of hate mail,
including several death threats.
David’s story is full of excite
ment yet, told with warmth and
humor. Here’s a quote from an ar
ticle he wrote describing the mo-
David Nesenoff
ments leading up to his Helen
Thomas interview:
“On May 27, 2010, I stood in
the White House briefing room
with my cell, calling, very specif
ically, anyone and everyone 1
knew, bragging, ‘You’ll never
guess where 1 am!’ Suddenly, 1
saw former president Bill Clinton
walk by. Everyone ran to the door
as he passed. He greeted us
swiftly as he moved along, and I
turned to the person next to me
and said, ‘That’s Bill Clinton!’
The man said, ‘1 know. I’m Joe
Biden.’’’
Rabbi Nesenoff was deeply
moved and forever changed
