Annual Invitational Golf Tournament
Benejitting the Levine JCC^s Senior Adult Enrichment
Program's (Oasis)
The eighth annual Levine JCC
Invitational Golf Tournament,
benefiting its senior adult Oasis
Program, will be held on Monday,
June 23 at TPC Piper Glen. The
day will kiek off with luneh at
11:15 and the golf will begin with
a 12:15 shotgun start. Mulligans
will be available for purehase
along with a 50/50 raffle. Dinner
reeeption following the golf with
aeeompanying awards eeremony
for the winners.
Proeeeds from the tournament
help provide neeessary funds to
benefit the Levine JCC Oasis Sen
ior Enriehment Program. The mis
sion of the Oasis program is to
enrieh the quality of all senior par-
tieipants regardless of religious af
filiations. Contributions sueh as
these made to the Oasis program
touehes families and individuals
in tangible and profound ways
that truly make a differenee in
peoples’ lives. These dollars will
direetly subsidize nourishing
lunehes, fund transportation, and
sponsor meaningful programming
all designed to enhanee the lives
of our seniors. For many seniors,
the Levine JCC is their only eon-
taet with the eommunity, a nour
ishing meal, a health eheek, any
type of physieal aetivity, or a
myriad of other life sustaining
serviees.

VIVA KLEZMER!
Performs at Spoleto
Klezmer band, VIVA
KLEZMER!, will be performing
at the Spoleto Festival in
Charleston, SC, on Sunday, June
fat 3 PM.
The ensemble will be appear
ing as part of the “World of Jewish
Culture at Pieeolo Spoleto” eom-
ponent of the festival.
VIVA KLEZMER! has estab
lished itself as the foremost inter
preter of Klezmer musie in the
Southeast. The ensemble eonsists
of elarinetist. Gene Kavadlo;
violinist, Ali Kavadlo; guitarist,
Mike Mosley; and bassist, Ron
Brendle. Together, they bring an
impressive baekground to their
Klezmer interpretations. Sinee its
founding in 1984 by Gene
Kavadlo, VIVA KLEZMER! has
enjoyed an aetive eoneert sehed-
ule. When they last appeared at
the Spoleto Festival, The Post and
Courier referred to them as “a
Jewish musieal treasure.”
