Jewish Federation Reaches Goal of $3.5 Million

One For All Concert Featuring Jason Alexander

On Sunday, September 21, the
Charlotte Jewish Community will
gather at a unique event to cele
brate together to support Temple
Beth El, Temple Israel, and the
Levine Jewish Community Cen
ter.
After an absence of nearly six
years, this community event has
returned to provide our benefac
tors a unique opportunity to
support three Shalom Park institu
tions on one special evening. “The
‘One For All Concert’ is a great
opportunity for the community to
come together for a fun evening of
music, dancing, and laughter, all
while supporting three essential
Jewish agencies,” says Phil
Berman, Levine Jewish Commu
nity Center CEO. This coopera
tive endeavor truly demonstrates
the community spirit that lives at
Shalom Park. Temple Beth El’s

Temple Israel’s President, Lynne
Sheffer says, “The ‘One For All
Concert’ is an innovative, enjoy

the community together to effi
ciently help our agencies raise
necessary funds for everyone.”
The multi-talented Jason
Alexander will headline the “One
For All Concert” as he hits the
Charlotte stage to perform his hi
larious one-man show on Sunday,
September 21 in the Belk Theater
at 7 PM. An Evening with Jason
Alexander and His Hair is a
comedy variety show that features
stand-up comedy, music, improv
isation, and audience participa
tion.
Jason Alexander portrayed the
much loved character George
Costanza from the hit show Sein-
Jason’s Broadway debut came
in the original production of
Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We
Roll Along. Alexander starred on
Broadway five times, eventually
hired to write the libretto for
Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, in
which he also played 14 different
characters and which won him the
Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle
and Tony Awards. Audiences have
enjoyed his many stage perform
ances, most notably his acclaimed
run alongside Martin Short in Mel
Brook’s The Producers.
Jason’s film credits include box
office smash hit Pretty Woman,
Shallow Hal, The Ad
ventures of Rocky and
Bullwinkle, North, and
The Paper. Alexanders’
other television works
include guest starring
on the HBO series Curb
Your Enthusiasm and
Dream On for which he
was nominated for an
Emmy.
