The Charlotte Jewish News - October 2014 - Page 8 Hebrew High - A Celebration of Jewish Learning and Fun The opening night of the 5775 Hebrew High sehool year was a rousing sueeess. Our student body greeted old friends, met new elassmates and began a journey into our wonderful tradition. The teaehers and elergy have planned an amazing year of Jewish diseov- ery and fun for our teen seholars. The theme for this session is “Jewish Leadership” and all of our future leaders are engaged in elasses that revolve around that theme. The elasses are interaetive, thought provoking and designed to give teens an opportunity to de velop their personal Jewish iden tities. This is the third year of our “Hebrew for Credif ’ elass, whieh is generously funded by an Impaet Grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte. We have ten new Hebrew seholars enrolled in the elass. They join the eight stu dents already enrolled in the pro gram. These students will reeeive High Sehool eredit from CMS and Union County sehools.
