Contact Tair Giudice, 704.944.6759, tair.giudice@jewishcharotte.org Spotlight on Lauren Mond: A Bat Mitzvah at Shalom Park Recently, we sat down with Staci Mond, mother of Lauren Mond, who celebrated her Bat Mitzvah almost one year ago at Shalom Park on November 1, 2014. Q: Why did you choose Shalom Park for the Bat Mitzvah? Staci: Shalom Park was just a natural for our family. Shalom Park has been an integral place in Lauren’s life, and we just wanted to celebrate this special occasion at a place that felt like home. Q: What was the theme? Staci: Lauren’s Colorful World. The theme seemed to fit Lauren’s bubbly, outgoing personality. Beth Mattos did all the decorations. The place looked fabulous. Q: How many attended? Staci: We had 75 kids and about 125 adults. Shalom Park set up a dance floor, and we had the kids’ side and the adults’ side. The setup made it fun for everyone. Q: What did you do for dinner? I loved that the ballroom also included ac cess to Main Street and the glass- enclosed conference rooms, which allowed space for a photo booth, props and colorful, painted hats. For our friends and family who had never stepped foot on the Park, they were beyond im pressed. Further, the audio/visual tech nology is cutting edge. The sound (Continued on next page) Ready. For.
