The Charlotte Jewish News - December 2015 - Page 3 Start a New Hanukkah Tradition with PJ Library 5th Night Project From November 30 through Deeember 10, PJ Library will join the Presehool on Sardis and the Charlotte Jewish Day Sehool in hosting the Fifth Night Projeet to provide Flanukkah gifts for needy kids. The projeet emphasizes the fifth night of Flanukkah in an ef fort to teaeh ehildren the Jewish value of tzedakah (giving with just intention) by forgoing their own gift on that night to provide one for a ehild in need. Parents are eneouraged to shop with their ehild to piek out a meaningful gift for a ehild of similar age. Colleetion bins will be plaeed at the sehools from November 30 through Deeember 10 for parents and kids to donate gifts. Class room and take-home aetivities will be provided to help make the Fifth Night Projeet and holiday meaningful for presehoolers and their families. The gifts will be donated during the holidays to less fortunate families attending Fluntingtowne Farms Elementary e! 6 C - IIII 5th Night Project Sehool and Sterling Elementary and Sehool.
