This elass will help students sift through the biased reporting, the exaggera tions, and the hype to diseover their own truths about the Jewish state. Students will be eneouraged to use their mobile deviees in this interaetive elass. * Israel on the Cloud - Modem Israel is a hip, media savvy plaee. In this new elass, students will ex plore the films, TV shows, musie and mobile apps that Israeli teens are viewing, using and ereating. Get to know Israel, the way Is raelis do. * The Faees of Israel - No other eountry has so sueeessfully absorbed refuges from all over the world as Israel. How do all of these diverse people live together in sueh a relatively small spaee? What are their differenees, what are their similarities? Join this var ied and interaetive elass and dis eover the sounds, sights and tastes of Israel. At Hebrew High, our students are given freedom to express their thoughts about Judaism, prayer, Israel, and mueh more. Visit us today: charlotteprep.org I 704-366-5994 CHARLOTTE PREPARATORY SCHOOL This year, the Global Shabbat theme was “A Shabbat to Remem ber.” During this Shabbat, BBYO teens remembered the history, past, straggles and faith of the Jewish people and eelebrated the journey, peoplehood, pride, and heritage of the Jewish people. Holoeaust survivors from around the world were invited to Global Shabbat programs to share their stories of straggle, hardship, and inspiration. Over 75 Charlotte BBYO par ents and teens eame together to eelebrate Shabbat and hear the in spiring story of survival as told by Suly Chenkin. Serviees were led by our ehapter Shliehim: Deanna Rhorer, Ari Feldman, Claudia Cohen, and Nathan Berzaek. Suly shared her story and a speeial eer- emony was held to induet Suly into BBYO. An Oneg Shabbat fol lowed serviees. Charlotte BBYO would like to thank Suly Chenkin for her inspiring words and mak ing everyone feel hopeful for the future of the Jewish people. ^ ^bbyo
