On Thursday, May 12 at 6 PM, please join me in the Sam Lemer Center for Cultural Arts for our annual Yom Hazikaron eeremony to re- speetfully thank the people whom without them we wouldn’t be able to eelebrate Israel Independenee Day. We will then eelebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut with a fun eoneert by the Band, “Halehakah,” eom- prised of three former Israeli De fense Forees soldiers. The eoneert will be held in Goreliek Hall. This transition from powerful, painful sadness that eaeh and every one of us feels on Yom Hazikaron-Memorial Day to hap piness and hope is one of the pow erful foundation stones of the state of Israel and the people of Israel.
