Karen Ransenberg, the presi dent of the board of direetors of CJDS, Jane Herson, a parent and CJDS board member, Mandy Di- filippo, assistant direetor, and Mariashi Groner, Direetor of CJDS attended the eonferenee in Chieago during the week of Feb- maty 5. Creative, out-of-the-box tuition models are the latest and one eould hear lots of diseussion on how to make a Jewish day sehool edueation aeeessible to families with an ineome that falls through the eraeks of those families who qualify for finaneial aid and those families who ean afford a private sehool tuition. CJDS is deep into this diseussion too and is aetively involved in meeting the needs of these families. Jane Herson, Mariashi Groner, Karen Ransenberg, and Mandy Di- filippo at the Prizmah Conference. When you see the level of ex- eellenee set forth in the work shops, plenary speeehes, and exhibits, you know that you are in the presenee of something great. Traly progressive, state of the art, and forward thinking models and methods of edueation were there for us to learn from and experi- enee. But, it is an even more gratifying, heartwarming, and val idating to see how sophistieated and advaneed we are at CJDS both at the board and sehool level. We are determined, however, to reaeh even higher, never being satisfied with “good enough.” Our students depend on that and we will not let them down. ^ i CJDS Charlotte Jewish Day School CJDS first graders celebrated their first 100 days in school by dressing up as old men and women. r Save the Date Shalom Park Freedom SchooFs Spring Movie Fundraiser Thursday, May 4, 7-9 PM Sam Lemer Center for Cultural Arts Join us for a movie and refreshments and learn more about Freedom Sehool’s six-week inspiring summer program at Shalom Park.
