PAGE 8 Q-Notes ■ June 1986 MCC Starts Saturday Cotfee House For those thinking there is little to do in Charlotte outside of the "bar scene," take a look at June's calendar. Not only will there be special events for Pride Week June 22-29, but also a multitude of meetings and activities that occur each month. A movement is taking place in our community to include both men and women in organizations and activities. Among these is MCC/Charlotte's ''Coflee House." Originally formed as the New Vida Coffee House for women, MCC/Charlotte has dropped the former name and has opened the doors to men as well. The non-reli gious social gathering takes place every other Saturday, 6:30-10 p.m., at 4037 E. Inde pendence Blvd. (in the old Century 21 Building next to Camelot Music ). The Coffee House offers no specific programs and no li quor. It provides a much needed place for men and women to meet in an infor mal social atmosphere. Once a month the Coffee House will host a pitch-in dinner (bring your own munchies). Meeting dates in June will be the 14th for the pitch-in dinner and the 28th for an informal so cial.
