In ad dition, Brandy Alexander emcees the DrummerBoy Contest with the winner advancing to the Drummer- Boy portion of national Mr. Drum mer activities in San Francisco. Open to those with advance tick ets at $10 per person. Tickets are limited to 350 and a few are ex pected to be available at Carolina Drummer ’87. DRUMMER ENTERTAINERS See "Boom Boom’s Fantasy’’ and other production numbers rehearsed for two months. In addition to Gerri O’Neal, Boom Boom Latour and Brandy Alexander — each of whom will emcee portions of Drummer or ManDance — entertainers include Amber Blake, Buffy DeMareau, Kasey King, Grand Prix, Tina Terrell, Blair Williams and the Charlotte Lambda Chorale. GETTING THERE Park Center is located behind (on the downtown side) of Charlotte’s Ameri can Legion Football Stadium, which is adjacent to the Central Piedmont Community College campus. The en trance to Park Center is at 310 Kings Drive. There is parking across Kings Drive and on the north side of Park Center on both sides of East Seventh Street. From 1-77 From either direction, take the East Trade Street exit and turn east onto Trade Street in the di rection of downtown Charlotte (to ward the tall buildings). In about two miles, you’ll cross under the I- 277 overpass. Turn left at the next light and you’re on Kings Drive headed for the parking areas! Go past Park Center (on the right), turn right onto East Seventh, and head into a parking )ot! Simple. From 1-85 Take 1-77 South and follow the di rections above.
