WHERE THE MONEY WENT The board of Queen City Coordina tors and I have asked Q-Notes to publish it’s 1987 financial statement, so that the people QCQ serves will have some idea of the cash flow of QCQ as well as what we do with the money we raise at our fund raisers. Phil Johnson, the QCQ treasurer and the financial committee for QCQ have proposed this financial statement in a simple and easy to understand format so you will know just what QCQ is doing. There are a few items in this finan cial statement that deserve special no tice; Q-Notes, Fund Raisers, and Do nations. 1) As you can see Q-Notes lost over $2500.00 last year. This is something we are currently working on and we expect this year’s figures to look a lot better. 2) Fund Raisers made over $3400.00 in 1987 and we would love to have been able to give that money to other organizations in Charlotte, however we had to use most of it to cover the losses of Q-Notes. 3) Donations are the last item I felt needed more explanation. In the past QCQ has given money to or at least offered money to any gay organization in Charlotte that presented us with a written request. Last year was no exception. However, we were not able to give the full amount requested by most of the organizations that re quested financial assistance. But we did give at least half of what was requested. If you have any questions about this financial statement or any question about QCQ, please let us hear from you. We are here to serve you and we need to know what you feel we should be doing. We also would like to have your full support at our fund raisers so that we can give more back to our community. Jim Yarbrough President QCQ P.O.
