The Piedmont HIV Health Care Consor tium has issued a Request For Applications (RFA) for HIV/AIDS outreach projects in their nine-county service region (Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Lee, Orange, Person, Vance and Warren). Organizations (not individuals) may apply to provide supportive services to HIV-t persons and/or prevention/outreach ser vices to strengthen or expand existing services of the Consortium. The semi-annual meeting of the National Association of Lesbian & Gay Community Centers (NALGCC) will take place July 26-30 in Atlanta, GA at the Radisson Hotel. The meeting will provide nuts and bolts informa tion and offer opportunities for group discus sions on problem-solving strategies on how to start or grow a community center in your lo cality. Female Im personator Karen Dior (aka Geoff Gann) was most recently seen in an epi sode of Xena: Warrior Prin cess and will now be fea tured in a commercial for Braun razors. The spot is expected to begin airing internationally in late July, but Ms. Dior will provide night clubs with free, advance cop ies if they call the Karen Dior Hodine at (213) 957-4830. Also on tap for Ms. Dior are two more commercials, a feature film and concerts across the country. The hotline also features updated performance and fan club information as well as personal messages from Ms. Dior. Tyler McKensie and Associates are asking for your favorite lesbian fantasies. They are compiling the information to help complete research being done in the lesbian community. This is only for lesbians (no men, no bisexu als), but other groups will be contacted later.
