Admission is FREE. Dubois will offer personal and professional re flections on how the University of Wyoming community responded to the murder of UW student Matthew Shepard in October of 1998. Dubois served as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UNC Charlotte from 1991-1997. Questions and answer period will follow with President Dubois and Judy Shepard. The WALK begins at 2:00 pm, RAIN or SHINE. Dr. Joycelyn Elders, former US Sur geon General, will speak at the event. Dr. El ders is a deeply committed official in the fight against AIDS. Walkers register by bringing donations from 12:30-1:45pm. RAIN invites participants to pack a picnic lunch and eat on the front lawn prior to the event. Judging at 1:00 for “Best Picnic Spread.” Prizes are avail able for TOP INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISER and TOP TEAM FUNDRAISER, MOST CREATIVE team banner and MOST ORIGI NAL individual umbrella. Walkers who raise a minimum of $50 receive an AIDS WALK T- shirt. Donations support CareTeams as well as rain’s HIV/AIDS prevention education pro gram.
