Badin’s Answer
The reproduction of our Bulletin Board
on the front cover shows how^ wonder
fully fine was the response of the com
munity of Badin to the national emer
gency of the Fourth Liberty Loan. Ap
proximately a hundred and thirty per
cent, over-subscription! That is a re
sult to be proud of. To Mr. Thorpe,
Mr. Wake, the superintendents and fore
men in all departments, and also each
and every individual who made sacrifices
to lend money to the Government, all
credit should be given for achieving a
result which would do honor to any town
in our broad land.
