Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Manly entertained
in a most attractive manner with a
dinner party Tuesday the fifteenth, in
honor of their house guests, Mr. and
Mrs. J. R. Bell, of Mount Olive, Mrs. G.
R. Pearsall, of Norfolk, Va., and Mrs.
Caroline Cox, of Raleigh. Other guests
were Dr. and Mrs. Atkins, Mrs. R. B.
Leinster, Mrs. Robert Bogan, and Mrs.
P. B. Jurney and Miss Cornell, of Mount
Olive. Covers were laid for twelve, and
the dinner was a great success.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Bell and Miss Mc-
Cullen, of Mount Olive, N. C., and Mrs.
G. R. Pearsall, of Norfolk, Va., are
visitors at the house of Mr. and Mrs.
F. F. Manly, 87 Spruce Street.
Mrs. Caroline Cox has returned from
a three weeks’ visit to Raleigh and
Mount Olive. While in Raleigh, Mrs.
Cox attended a house party given by
Miss Annie Blair.
Mrs. L. J. Collins has returned to her
home in Badin, after a six weeks’ stay
with relatives in Raiford. Mrs. Collins’
sister. Miss Grace McGaydgen, accom
panied her home.
Mrs. R. 0. Leinster has returned to
her home, in Statesville, N. C., after a
pleasant visit to Mr. and Mrs. R. B.
Leinster.
Mrs. L. S. Wagner accompanied her
mother, Mrs. William F. Kircher, when
she returned to Belleville, 111. Miss
Dorothy went with her.
Mrs. H. F. Lancaster has been visit
ing her sister, Mrs. R. B. Leinster, of
Spruce Avenue. Mrs. Lancaster comes
from Parkton, N. C.
Mrs. Harold R. Wake and young son,
Robert, have gone to Westfield, N. J., to
visit Mrs. Wake’s brother, Mr. N.' B
Parker.
Miss Bessie Cauble visited relatives in
Salisbury, during Easter.
