Presbyterian Church Notes
On April 6, the communion was ob-
fved by the congregation, at which
'le the names of twenty-five new mem-
■■s were read to church, those having
ited during the three months past. At
enthusiastic congregational meeting
W immediately afterwards, it was de-
to begin at once on the campaign
^ the new church. Prospects are very
'6ht for the erection of our building
an early date.
Go-to-Church Sunday was a decided
^cess, judging from the large congre-
^Mons which greeted the pastors at
®ir services April 13. We hope the
‘Petus gained may carry us forward
greater zeal and devotion. A revival
'^hurchgoing is very much needed in
town.
Cordial invitation is given to all
''®sbyterians, and any others, to come
take part with us in the work of
the church. Hours for service: Sunday
School at 10 a. m.; Preaching at 11 a. m.
and 8 p. m.; Union Prayer Meeting
Wednesday at 8 p. m. During the month
of May, the pastor will preach at the
night service on “Important Doctrines of
the Bible,” endeavoring to treat them in
a popular way.

Baptist Briefs
The good people of Badin rejoice that
the church affairs of our city are “look
ing up.” It is great for any community
when all its churches are growing.
“Go-to-Church Sunday” was quite help
ful to Baptist interests. Our people
greatly enjoyed that night the sermon
of Brother Houser, the popular pastor
of our Methodist brethren.
Our Sunday School completed its “Mis
sion Drive” the first Sunday in April,
rounding up a collection of more than
one hundred and fifty dollars, and it had
just given the Armenian sufferers about
fifty dollars. Join in with us, and help
us honor the Lord more and more.
The Construction Committee promise
that readers of this issue of the Bulle
tin shall see our church walls begin to
rise again.
J. M. Arnette, Pastor
Mr. S. E. Corbett went to Salisbury,
April 15, to attend a union meeting of
the Knights of Pythias Lodge. From
Salisbury, he went to Charlotte, to at
tend the homecoming of the One Hundred
and Twentieth Infantry.
Mr. P. D. Johnson, of Raiford, is with
his daughter, Mrs. R. B. Leinster, for an
indefinite stay.
