Jack Cecil is acting as mason foreman.
Mr. J. A. Wilkinson, one of the fore
men in the Extension Department, has
been called to his home, at Lumberton,
N. C., on account of the illness of his
parents. Jimmie is generally missed by
everyone, and particularly by Lee.
Mr. Lee says if the mercury climbs
up one or two points more he will have
to discard the dry measure method of
handling pitch, and adopt the liquid
measure; that is, just dip up a bucket
ful, and pour it into the mix.
Biddix is happy now. He has got his
peas planted, and says there will be
some excellent hunting up the lake next
fall. If there is anything that Biddix
likes to do better than hunt, we don’t
know what it is.
It is a dime to a doughnut that the
Carbon Plant will win the tug of war
on the Fourth of July. We can muster
up a team that will average 195 pounds
to the man; and it is not 195 pounds of
fat, either.
The Mechanical Department is install

further minimize the dust nuisance

If you want to know how to make a
white suit black, ask Adams.
Jimmy Green, carbon plant clerk, is
rapidly recovering from a sprained
ankle, received in a recent ball game.
Our stack looks better with its steel
