Ireland, who has been our Distribution Clerk for. the past several months, has been transferred to the Cost Department. Mr. Ireland is succeeded in the Distribution Office by Mr. M. G. Waller, of the Payroll Department. Mr. W. F. Gambrell, of the Time-Keep ing Department, has been transferred from the Pot Rooms to the Machine Shop, to succeed Mr. J. H. Cowles. Mr. Cowles goes to the Distribution Office. If anyone in Badin is interested in squirrel hunting, they can get some valu able information from a party of three, namely: W. R. Matheson, M. G. Waller, and Henry Thompson. “Nuf sed.” Mr. Joe Leonard spent the past week end with his parents, at Lexington. Joe says he is always glad to get back to the Club. “There’s a reason.” Miss Lala Ferrabee spent Saturday, the fifteenth, in Salisbury. We guess it is about time to begin Christmas shop ping. Mr. L. S. Currie has returned from a visit to his home, in Lumberton, N. C. Bolts and Jolts One morning recently, Joe Cherry came in the shop somewhat “dressed up,” and some of the fellows asked him why he resembled a “Philadelphia law yer,” to which he replied: “I have com pany at my home—a thirteen-pound boy.” It being payday, and Joe going for his money, he passed thru the pot rooms, and some of his friends knew the joke; so later Joe came thru the shop bare headed, for the boys had burned his perfectly good hat. It is reported that Mr. J. A. Moore is to be married some time before Christ mas. We don’t know how true the state ment is, but we do remember that Jack said a few days ago: “It’s not long un til Christmas, Boys; do your shopping early. Mr. W. 0. Young, the locomotive craneman, has been sick for the past few days, but we hope that he will soon be able to be on the job again. Mr. F. R.
