It would be a splendid thing all around. Our Basket-Ball Teams Each of our four basket-ball teams has been doing good work in recent games, but somehow the scores simply won’t come out right. The High School team have lost to Norwood and Albe marle, after putting up gallant fights, while the men’s team and the Office Girls lost to Concord, the double-header being played in the Concord Y. M. C. A. gymnasium. But we are not discouraged. Our teams are young, not only in individual ages but also in the time they have played together. We’ll show ’em some things before the season ends. Mr. Mauney Returns We are glad to have Mr. A. C. Mauney back again in Badin. As director of landscape gardening, he will do much to add to the beauty of our town. Mr. Mauney has many friends here, who are delighted to know that his health is so much improved that ho can resume his work.
