n BADIN. NORTH CAROLINA The Colored Village HE Tallassee Power Company •’“s established, and main- tains, at Badin, one of the best colored villages, if not the best, in the South. Its houses are comfortable, each and every house equipped with electric lights and running water. The sani- tary condition is carefully looked af ter, sewers over the entire village, and everything possible is done, with out thought of expense, for the wel fare of its colored employees. There are sufficient houses built, or being built from time to time, to care for all the men required, and they take special interest in securing the better-class of men, who wish to come to Badin with the idea of bettering themselves and making it a permanent home.
