wish you had something to eat. It’s
daylight. You feel fine now. (Hook’s
gone.) \
You wonder if your wife slept well,
and hope she has a nice warm breakfast.
No, you are not going to get a -divorce,
you are going to buy some candy and
take home and kiss her. You know she
is a nice little girl. And if you board
you have the best boarding house in
town and wish it were Christmas so you
could buy your landlady a present. You
wish it were Sunday so you could go
to church. My! but you feel fine, and
it’s too pretty to kill time sleeping today
so you haul out your fishing tackle and
dig some bait and go fishing—stay up
all day, have a fine time, but catch no
fish. Anyway you go to bed about 8.00
o’clock p. m. and get up about 10.00
p. m. and go to work? Old man Hook
is there when you get there and he stays
with you all night again, but take it
from you, you sure will get some sleep
tomorrow.
Note—This is the third of a series of
lessons on Rotary Station Equipment.
The next will appear in an early issue.
Rotary Station
Our latest addition to the Operating
Force is Mr. Hurlburt. Mr. Hurlburt
has operated in quite a number of sta
tions, but thinks our layout here is the
•best yet.
Mr. B. J. May has been blue all the
week just because the “pictures” stopped
at the beginning of a good fight. B. J.
says, “ ’Tain’t fair.”
Mr. E. M. Talbot is in Long’s Sana

again in the rotary station.

Mr. Robert Morris, our Motor Me
chanic, went to Salisbury a few days ago
and drove an Avery Tractor down to
the Company farm. Bob got two hours
extra for that day on account of the
slow speed of the tractor and says it
doesn’t have much comforting accom
modations in its makeup, and especially
on the road for a long drive.
Mr. W. G. Smith is with us again
after being out for a few days’ vacation,
and we hope that it was a successful
one. Anyway he brought Mrs. Smith
back with him. We welcome them to
our city, and hope for them much suc
cess in life.
Note the Mechanical Safety Commit
tee, Mr. Chalmers especially. He said
he tried to borrow a necktie to have his
picture made and the “Guy” wanted to
tax him “Two Bits.” Tom said that he
didn’t need to buy another tie.
Mr. W. 0. Young, who has been Loco
motive Craneman for the past two years
has left the services of the Company and
will go to Birmingham, Ala. Mr. H. L.
Allen, of Baltimore, formerly of this
city, will succeed him as Locomotive
Craneman.
Mr. Harry S. Leafe one of our sales
men has purchased a home in New Lon
don and makes the trip daily in his car.
He says, “Really after all New London
is a good place to live.'”
Wonder how many folks thought there
was a fire the other day when the fire
whistle sounded? Just moving it from
the carbon plant to Building 25, Rotary
Station.
Mr. J. R. Coggins has been out for
several days with an attack of appen
dicitis, but is recovering without an ope
ration.
Mr. J. H. Mason has moved to Char-^^.

Mr. Tom Ross formerly a part of the
Purchasing Department, and now con

Mr. Rex Kelley is contemplating a
