Turner has been transferred to the Main Office, taking the place of Mr. T. S. Maynard, who resigned his po sition with the Tallassee Power Com pany, and is now working at Kinston, N. C. Miss Lillian Cornish, who has been away for the past two months due to an operation for appendicitis, is expected shortly to resume her position in the Chief Clerk’s office. Master Earle Williams, the new bell hop in the main office, has succeeded Miss Gertrude Morris, who leaves next week for Charlotte, where she enters school. Dr. Frary, Mr. Hoopes, and Mr. Mooreman have arrived in Badin from Pittsburgh, Pa., for a stay of a week or more. Miss Lindley, of Greensboro, N. C., has accepted a position as stenographer in the Main Office. Mr. St. Pierre DuBose has returned to Badin, after a visit to Little Switzerland and other points. Mr. J. J. Purcell is an important addi tion to the Purchasing Department. Miss Cora Williams has returned from a visit to Mount Gilead, N. C. Miss Ruth Kendall has accepted a po sition in Charlotte, N. C. Mr. John DuBose has been transferred to the Main Office. Mr. R. P. Rees left Sunday, for a visit, to Princeton, Ind. Wade Ingram, Croson Miller, H- Brooks, and B. F. Smith have accepted positions in the various departments ® the Laboratory. Mack Arnette has resigned, to take ef' feet Tuesday, September 7. Mack pects to enter Wake Forest College this fall. W. T. Hundley has been transferr®^ from the Laboratory to the Carbo*^ Plant Testing Room. R. A. Crowell will leave in a few day® for the University of North Carolina- J. 0. Cherry is spending his vacatioi^ in Lexington, N. C. —H. A. L- Mr. and Mrs. Graver’s little son is much improved, after several weeks’ ill ness.
