We know your Mother doesn’t want you out so late; but we want to smoke a Medi tation. Mr. Parks and Mr. Biddix were off on a hunting trip about the first of the month. They got a total of ten birds, but they failed to state what kind. Section 2, Room 38 made the best metal that has been made since 1917. Cigars are getting common with these fellows. Talk about co-operation, Andy Hall was observed having ten darkies work ing one pot, and all of them singing. Mr. J. E. Step has been promoted to floor-walker. Step got this by hard work. Darky, looking at bonus slips: I sho is getting part of Mr. Aluminum’s stack. Wanted: To know what time Mr. W. F. Young sleeps. Who remembers those boneless bonus slips? Sapp Price is back at his old job tap ping. Don’t get your Christmas in a jug! Sugar loaf will make you loaf. The Pie gave out! L. W. Gabriel Carbon Plant Notes The way things are going in the Alumi num Plant, it looks as though they are going to prove poor customers for us. However, we still have storage space for about a million pounds of carbons. The Reclamation Department has added a flock of chickens to its many attractions, so in the near future we may expect to see “reclaimed eggs” for sale. If carbon skimmers are taken into consideration, carbon consumption wasn’t so good after all on the latter edition of the Resistance Pot. A. D. Howell says if every week is like the past week his bonus dollars will be come as scarce as hen’s teeth. No. 3 bench has been closed down and will be completely rebuilt before it is started up again. McLain says it isn’t coming any too soon. Mr. O. Chrisco i& spending several days in Baltimore. During his absence, Mr. Mabry is looking after the Cleaning Department. Bob Lee says he won’t let a little thing like making a couple of thousand car bon skimmers worry him. The tumbling barrels are cleaning all of our carbons now, and doing it well. Mr. Lee left on November 28 for a two weeks’ vacation. Mr. Ed Biddix is away on a two weeks’ vacation. —L. G. D. Electrical Sparks Falls Power House Notes Ike Roberts is taking advantage of lii.5 vacation. The first week was spent in cutting wood, and now he is awa^' enjoying the other with his home people. Ike’s motto is work before pleasure. The friends of Mrs. C. W. Williams will be very glad to know that she is improving rapidly after a two weeks’ illness at her home. Mr. and Mrs. W., P. Beckman, and the latter’s brother, Alex. Rutledge, spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. L. B- Shoemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rodgers and chil' dren and Mr. B. L. Gomo took Thanks giving supper with Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Barnette. Alma Sibley will leave for her home in Rock Hill, S. C., after a three weeks visit to her sister, Mrs. R. E. Jones, Tom Jackson got extravagant again on the last payday and bought for him' self an overcoat and an “Ingersoll.” We listen to be invited ’most any day to the Cravers for dinner, as they pect to kill their large hog soon, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Mintz and childr®® spent Thursday in town with his brother, J. B. Mintz, on Maple Street. Mrs. Jones from Fort Mill has r®' turned home after a visit to her son, n. E. Jones. Mrs. S. J. Williams, of Charlotte, spent two weeks with her son, G. W. Williams, recently. Mrs. Clarence Hoagland is expectinS her aunt from Fort Mill to visit her soon.
