A total of 17 officers were pro
moted from Lt. (jg) to senior
Lieutenant, and 11 were promoted
from Ensign to Lt. (jg). All
ranks are temporary as indicated

Navy Band To Give
Sunday Concerts
The first in a series of Sunday
afternoon public concerts will be
given by the Navy Pre-Flight
band a week from tomorrow (July
23) in the outdoor Forest Theatre
opposite Navy Hall. The program
will start at 1630 and end at 1730.
The concerts, under the direc
tion of Chief Musician C. S. See
ley, will consist of good listening
selections, including martial
tunes, semi-classical, and popular
numbers. .

tion.
A total of 1,887 individuals sub
scribed to a total cash value of
$107,153.50 worth of War Bonds.
This represents a maturity value
of approximately $133,000.00.
The previous all-time high was
