We will strive to make your time here as educational and informative as possible." Those are the first words you will hear as you begin your classes on the new methods and machinery at the Firestone Learning Center. So far we have trained seven Instructor/ Team Leaders, JACK BECK, JIMMY ADAMS, BARRY BEAVER, ROBERT CARPENTER, JOYCE HUMPHRIES, BETTY NEAL and JEFF DUNCAN; twelve Team Leaders, GRADY McMILLER, CHARLES HINSON, ROBERT TURNER, ROY SPURLING, FRED BATES, DORIS GOODSON, HAROLD GREEN, TOM HAYES, JAMES McMILLAN, ONELL BRACKETT, MIKE McCLURE and TOMMY SHIRES; and ten Team Members, MASON SHANNON, STELLA JACKSON, MARY WATKINS, JERRY HINSON, ANITA MCDONALD, FAY LEWIS, DON ADAMS, MALCOLM STEWART, PAUL HALLMAN and JEANETTE BUNTON. Most people are apprehensive as they begin classes but very soon settle down to the task at hand - learning to function as an integral part of a team- based cell. The first two weeks of your training are based in the classroom with orientation by ROWE HENDERSON and learning TQC Problem Solving with JACK GIBBONS while BILL PASSMORE covers safety aspects. LINDA FEUERBACHER instructs how to achieve Results Through Teamwork and DAVE LEWIS gives an overview of why what we do is so important to the end product of FIRST QUALITY TIRE CORD. The next four weeks are spent around the equipment learning the skills necessary to operate the machinery. The instructors are well informed and continue to learn a great deal as they work with you to achieve the objective of how to obtain the required results by working together as a team. You will learn the basics in each area [ply twisting, cable twisting, weaving and various material handling equipment] that will enable you to return to the cell atmosphere and contribute to the team. We look forward to seeing you soon at the Learning Center. ogether veryone A chieves ore
