We would like to take this opportunity to thank all stations for the very nice Christ mas cards that we received, and also thank some stations twice for the duplicates. For the year of 1956 the Airport Commission has slated a four point expansion program for Patrick Henry Field. If all is approved this will be somewhat of assistance to PAI operations. First point of the program is to extend the ramp area 150 feet to provide additional parking space and eliminate ramp con gestion. This new section of the ramp should be ready for use in about two months. Point number two is the widening of the ILS runway, while number three is the in stallation of high intensity runway lights. These two improvements should lower land ing minimums, but are still on the board awaiting appropriation of funds. Improvement four is the purchase of a re fueling truck to el iminate delays when the pits are in use. We welcome Howard McVey as agent at PHF and wish him the most success and hope he will enjoy his duties here with PAI.
