HTW Manager Walter Ryczek played lead
role in the Huntington Community Players
latest play "SABRINA FAIR" from the
movie of the same name.
Critics and laymen alike were high i n
their praise of his performance.
Agent Jim VanHorn has set his wedding
date for the middleofMay. Our best wishes
to both of them.
Our only girl agent, Pauline Bailey, has
set a tentative date for her wedding in
September.
May 8th elections here will determine as
to whether or not the bond issue for improve
ment of the airport will take place. I f
approved it wil I mean a new administration
build ing, new taxi strip, a longer runway
and a tower. We all hope it will pass .

We welcome new Agent Howard Crouch ,
originally from ROA. Hestarted his train
ing here April 1, 1956.
Would also like to mention that we have
our new section of the ramp completed and
in use. Other Improvements that were
listed in previous Piedmonitors will be
under way in the near future.
We at PHF also regret that Bob Rose had to
let go of the fine job he was doing as
District Supervisor, however, we would like
to wish him well and hope to see him as
D. S . again soon.

Agent Larry Redden, ORF-F, spent his
recent vacation in Jacksonville and from
the rumors we hear,Larry will wed in June.
Capt. Sam Parnell was in town with his
Atomic Bomb fishing plug. |t brings the
fish up to the boat but somehow just won't
get them inside. Capt. Schulte turned
out to be the fisherman that day - with a
mighty catch of one small perch.

Buddy Fleear - ORF-F
around the year 1861-63 but it's none
other than Pvt,Buddy Fleear,Confederate
States Army, alias Agent Fleear, ORF-F.
The photo was taken at the local shooting
match with the military boys. Believe it
or not these Rebels, using .58 calibre
muskets outshot the Army and their M2's.
Fleearwill spend his M a y vacation at
Fort Dix,N.J. participating In the North-
South skirmish.
Agent Bob Morgan has received his diploma
on the correspondence course In hypnosis.
His best subject is Agent Bill McGee.
Those of us who know Me Gee well are
amazed at the way he puts his feet in one
chair, head in another and then lets some
one sit in his middle.
PurserCharles Peery was married during the
month of April and just returned from his
honeymoon In Nassau. Peery says you can
bicycle all over Nassau without standing
up to pedal .

again after leave of absence with CAP as
co-pilot. Harry O'Connor promoted from

Jean Lash and Daphne Wilson were in a
parade In Alexandria, Va. The girlswere
dressed In bathing suits, and the weather-
far from warm. However,they report they
did not feel cold until the parade was over.

Shirley Anderson,not to be out done,was
In a parade in Lexington, Va. She was
dressed as a cowgirl on the float represent
ing the State of Montana. The occasion
was a mock presidential convention.
Shirley was present at the final oration of
the lal’e Senator Alben W. Barkley.
Our two playboys, Jim Lockamy and Keith
Fabrizio, have been testing the roller
coaster at Glen Echo Amusement Park.
Saturday night on Mt. Vernon Memorial
Highway a welner roast was held by PAI
personnel Ed WIsnleskI, Shirley Anderson,
Iona Carr, Keith Fabrizio, Daphne Wilson,
Jean Lash, and Jim Lockamy.
Did anyone . Sow many we boarded In
April? We are looking forward to a steak
dinner.

Our Agent J. Johnson was transferred to
CHW for temporary duty when Kelley was
In an auto mishap.
We now have instal led automatic telephone
answering equipment for night calls and
when agent is on the ramp. All that is
needed Is to turn on answering machine
and it is just like having another agent on
duty. Sure is a great help and gives our
passengers a new service where office is
not open all night. The comments from
those using It Is that it is going over big.
Were glad to read that LYH received their
1000 Di nner. We are working hard to get
500 per month. Things star*- out fine, but
then.... .well, who knows ? But we still
keep on trying, so one of these days

A lady called and advised the agent on
duty that she had ridden PAI to LYH last
week and the agent failed to give her
Green Stamps, and wondered if It was too
late to rcelve them.
