Our only girl agent, Pauline Bailey, has set a tentative date for her wedding in September. May 8th elections here will determine as to whether or not the bond issue for improve ment of the airport will take place. However,they report they did not feel cold until the parade was over. Exciting, huh ? Shirley Anderson,not to be out done,was In a parade in Lexington, Va. She was dressed as a cowgirl on the float represent ing the State of Montana. The occasion was a mock presidential convention. Shirley was present at the final oration of the lal’e Senator Alben W. Barkley. Our two playboys, Jim Lockamy and Keith Fabrizio, have been testing the roller coaster at Glen Echo Amusement Park. Saturday night on Mt. Vernon Memorial Highway a welner roast was held by PAI personnel Ed WIsnleskI, Shirley Anderson, Iona Carr, Keith Fabrizio, Daphne Wilson, Jean Lash, and Jim Lockamy. Did anyone . Sow many we boarded In April? We are looking forward to a steak dinner. BECKLEY - Our Agent J. Johnson was transferred to CHW for temporary duty when Kelley was In an auto mishap. We now have instal led automatic telephone answering equipment for night calls and when agent is on the ramp. All that is needed Is to turn on answering machine and it is just like having another agent on duty. Sure is a great help and gives our passengers a new service where office is not open all night. The comments from those using It Is that it is going over big. Were glad to read that LYH received their 1000 Di nner. We are working hard to get 500 per month.
