Of all things - a paint roller. FIXED BASE FLASHES Mr. Northington and son, Bobby, spent a very enjoyable vacation in Los Angeles where they visited with Mr. Northington's relatives. Kem Naftel has just returned from Florida where she obtained a very nice suntan. I understand Kem and her husband had quite a tour of Florida. Joe Culler is very pleased with his seven foot sailfish that he caught at Key West several weeks ago. George Atteberry has just returned from Brunswick, Maine, where he served as Squadron Commander in the Naval Air Reserve for two weeks. Fixed Base is proud to have just signed another two year contract with Allegheny Airlines for their engine and carburetor overhaul. 75% of mileage on the average family car is put on from May - September. PIEDMONT BOWLERS BEGIN SEASON The Piedmont Airlines Bowl ing team opened their 1956-57 season on September 13th. Members of the team are; C. W. Gough, INT-FB Stores Manager, Captain; J. T. AVIS 1000th RENTAL OFFICE The Avis Rent-a-Car System hasopened its 1000th rental office. MAINTENANCE GROUP FETES LUNDY, TAYLOR Al Lundy and W.R.Taylor were guests of honor at a farewell dinnergiven Saturday, October 20, by several of their friends in Maintenance. The two mechanics are soon to take up their new duties in ROA, where we are opening a Maintenance Sta- tion. Sixteen participated in the gala dinner. The party was such a success that Lundy almost decided not to go .to ROA. The Piedmonitor joins with Al and Taylor's friends in wishing them Bon Voyage and best of luck in their new assignment .We'll all miss them.
