Bowles-INT-CRO to AVL Tom Allen, American's District Sales Manager in Knoxville, Tennessee, kept close tabs on the punch fountain. He was caught here filling a cup for agent Debbie Stoltz. Reservations Revelry Airline sales people have a flair for doing business in ways that often seems much more like play than work. Particularly when they’re working with other airline sales people. One of, if not the, favorite audiences for a new sales pitch is made up of the guys and gals who actually book the seats, the res agents. Many domestic carriers who receive interline bookings from Piedmont come by to visit with our res folks. They never come empty handed. Over the years one of the most popular visi tors has been American Airlines. They were in Winston-Salem recently to christen our new Central Reservations Office in their own inimi table style. Cake and punch, Hawaiian of course, and some trips to exotic new American destinations were the order of the day. American's most familiar face to Piedmont folks belongs to their Richmond District Sales Manager Spencer Rice, the drawing for door prizes. Norma second from left. He was supervising the drawing tor door prizes. Norma Smith is checking her ticket with Spence's as Felicia Cambell and Robert Marks are all smiles over their selections. 1 St % A familiar face, different uniform. Linda Joyner who used to be Piedmont stew ardess and is now flying the skies of American came down for AA day at the CRO. In between licking icing from her fingers she cut a lot of cake and caught up on Piedmont News.
