Report due Mid-July On benefits Beginning this year, you will receive your Personal Benefits Report in mid-July rather than March. “The change has been made because the company- provided pension plans now have a year end of December 31 rather than June 30,” Jane Roberts, manager- employee benefits, said. ‘‘The report will be entitled 'Your 1986 Personal Benefits Report’ although the plan information will be as of December 31, 1985. For em ployees who join the company between January 1 and mid- July of this year, reports will be forthcoming in 1987, the year following their first year’s participation.” Because of these changes, you will not receive a report entitled ‘‘Your 1985 Benefits Report.” If you submitted changes on your Request for Verifica tion of Personal Information Form to the Payroll Office by December 18, 1985, these changes will be noted on your 1986 report. If you have sub mitted changes since that date, they will be noted on your 1987 report. Retirement Plan data Out in March The annual Statement of Plan Participation for the Supplemental Retirement Plan will be mailed to plan participants the second week in March. Aetna has guaranteed a rate of 10.07 percent for all contri butions made to the plan dur ing 1986, and the blended rate—a composite rate which assumes participation for all plan years beginning with the first year in 1979 —for pre- 1986 contributions during 1986 is 11.84 percent. You can also establish an IRA account with your contri butions through the Deduct ible Account feature of this plan. This option is available to employees only. An IRA account for your spouse can be established through an account at the Piedmont Credit Union. If you are not a participant and would like information on how the plan works, contact Employee Benefits, extension 5524 or COMAT INTA-255, for a brief summary of the plan provisions.
