Follow these guidelines
for international travel
Planning a trip to Lx>ndon via Piedmont? When you travel
internationally, a different set of procedures applies to non
revenue travel.
CLT
• Allow at least one hour for check-in. Often, non-revenue passengers
are arriving at CLT on the same push as the departing LGW flight, and
this may mean less than 20 minutes for check-in. Make plans to take an
earlier flight.
• You are allowed only one piece of carry-on luggage on an international
flight. When the flight is heavily-booked, non-revs are cleared last. By
then, the overhead bins and garment closets may be full, so agents must
tag and carry non-rev baggage down the jetway stairs. This extra step
may delay the flight, thus affecting our on-time performance.
• Tklie care of the extra charges (user fees) at your originating station.
Find out what fees are applicable and what documents you'll need be
forehand. You can take care of these fees and documents days before
your departure, saving our CLT agents extra work.
LGW
• Check in at the ticket counter two hours before departure.
• Wait away from the ticket counter to be called.
• If you Eire cleared for business class, remember to sign your payroll
deduction form.
• After being cleared, go to the check-in counter to receive your board
ing pass and check your bags.
• Go through passport control and out to the gate where you will be
boarded if seats are still available.
By following these guidelines, you can help Piedmont's on-
time performance and lessen the workload for fellow employees.
Happy traveling!
What about travel to Nassau? Following are a few
pointers.
• Allow an hour for check-in at BWI or CLT and on the return, an
hour at NAS.
• Carry on no more than one piece of luggage.
• Remember to sign your payroll deduction form if traveling first
class.
• Carry with you proof of citizenship, i.e., a passport or birth certif
icate with a photo I.D. This is required both for entry into and
departure out of Nassau.
