Colodny announces August 5
as date of the merger
August 5,1989, has been set as the date for the operational integration
of Piedmont with USAir, Chairman and President Ed Colodny an
nounced Monday (January 30) while speaking to a group of Piedmont
employees in Winston-Salem.

soon be able to trim their
ticketing time by using new
ticket/boarding pass printers.
Colodny made the announcement dur
ing the first of a series of meetings
being held with Piedmont employees
and senior USAir and Piedmont offi
cers. The meetings will be held at 10
major Piedmont stations during the
next two weeks to address Piedmont
employees’ concerns about the
merger.
Colodny, Piedmont President Tom
Schick, and other officers will also
hold meetings at BWI, Charlotte, Day
ton, Syracuse, Greensboro, LaGuar-
dia, Miami, Utica/Rome, and Norfolk.

tape of the meetings will be distrib
uted to all USAir and Piedmont work
locations.
