WEEKLY TRAFFIC MEMORANDUM #9 -2- September U, 1948 6, TIE DOWN EQUIPMENT - Several days ago all stations were advised that tie-down kits were aboard all aircraft and were to be left aboard and intact and to be used only when it was necessary to tie the aircraft down. Ship 384, September 3, arrived INT with tie-down ropes loose and strewn about in the rear baggage compartment. Although the necessity for using this equipment is rare, it is of utmost importance that the kit, with all parts, be intact viien it is needed.
