RECENT BRIDE HONORED
Mrs. Dan Vinson and Mrs, R*J.
Price were hostesses at a miscella
neous shower in honor of Mrs.Harold
Rogers,the former Miss Hazel Ed
wards. It was held in the recreation
room of the Methodist Church.
The bride*s table was covered
with a lace tablecloth, with a cen
terpiece of pastel colored flowers
with silver candlesticks on each
side. Mrs. Vinson and Mrs. Price
served fruit pimch and party cakes
hand decorated with pastel colored
roses.
Mrs. Rogers was lovely in a
brown sheer dress with brown and
green accessories. Her corsage was
a tuberous begonia.
One hundred guests were inclu
ded in the courtesy.

Miss Betty Milligan of Jackson
ville, Fla, and Beauty Queen of the
Miss Dulal County Contest, is ex
pected to arrive in Highlands July
28th. Accompanying her will be her
mother, Mrs. Opal Milligan and May
or VJilton Cobb will meet them at
the Greenville Airport.
Miss Milligan and her mother will,
be the guests of Highlands Manor
from July 28th to August ^th.
Miss Milligan will be taken
to many points of interest in and
around Highlands. She has also
been given a ticket to see the
Cherokee Pageant "Unto These
Hills",
Miss Milligan and her mother
will return to Jacksonville Au
gust ^th.
