Louie is the proud owner of three trophies he won while in camp. The trophies re present-first place in archery, first place in riflery, and the best all around camper. BRIDE-ELECT HONORED Mrs. Turner Dorris and Mrs. Charles Dorris entertained with a miscellaneous shower for Miss Joy ce Burnette, bride-elect of Mr. Ralph Wetmore of Miami and High lands, Friday evening at the home of the former. Miss Mary Anderson and Mrs. Isa Chambers served assorted cookies, cup cakes, tea cakes, sandwiches, and punch. Mrs. John Miller,sister of the bride-elect, kept the bride^s book. Approximately ^0 guests called during the evening and Joyce re ceived many useful gifts. TO HAVE PARTY A party for the members of the Chamber of Commerce and the town board and their wives is being planned for Tuesday night, August 26 th. HIGHLANDS I4ETH0DIST CHURCH The regular 11 o’clock service of the Highlands Methodist Church will be conducted by the pastor, The Rev. Robert E» Early. His ser mon topic will be "And Peter". Mrs. Jean Obenchain of Miami and Highlands and Miss Martha Holt of Highlands will sing. Miss Jean Mentzer of Miami and Highlands will accompany the service.
