Mr. Colburn is one of the found ers of the Highlands Biological Station and served as its vice- president in 1930. HIGHLANDS RECREATION CENTER The Highlands Recreation Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Richard (Snook) Thompson as re creation director. Tennis, Bad minton, shuffle board, and horse shoes can be enjoyed on the out side and on the inside they offer card games and ping-pong. Square and round dancing will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday nights- beginning at 8 p.m. The recreation center is lo cated in the old schoolbuilding and grounds. THE ARK ANTIQUE SHOP The Ark Antique Shop opened for the fourth season on June 21. There is a large and varied col lection of antiques and gifts from England and the continent as well as a group of early Ameri cana. An interesting article is a wrought iron monastery garden bell from the French Alps, dated before I8OO. There are also door stops and minature chests from Scotland, very handsome chests of drawers from London and silver from Ireland.
