Mrs. Charles Bennett, and three
children Bruce, Chick, and Jimmy, will
arrive here July 23 for a visit viith her
parents, Mr, and Mrs. F.C. Fay at their
home on the Country Club Grounds, Her
husband, Congressman from Jacksonville,
Fla., will leave August 15th and go to
Jacksonville Beach where they will be until
Sept. 15th.
Mrs. Edith Quinn left on Monday of
this week to go to Minneapolis, Minn, where
she was called due to illness in the family.
Mr, and Mrs. Carl Hahn of West Palm
Beach, Fla. are spending the summer in their
new home at Whiteside Estates.

Suspenseful but replete with typi
cal Gol* humor, MGM*s "Imitation General”
tells the story of a sergeant who doesnH
know he*s a hero but takes a vital gamble
when he impersonates a general during
a curcial episode of the Battle of the
Bulge in World War II.
The sergeant is played by GOLenn
Ford, who comes to the new role from his
hits in **The Sheepman,** *'Cowboy** and
"Don*t Go Near the Water.*' In co-star-
ring roles are Red Buttons in his first
film since his Academy Award-winning
role in **Sayonara", and Taina Elg, An
other prominent role is played by teen
age favorite, Dean Jones.
Master Sergeant ^^u^phy Savage makes
his decision to impersonate Brigadier
General Charles Lane (Kent Smith) be
cause he is convinced that the sudden
death of the general, if it becomes
known, will make the difference between
victory and defeat when groups of U.S*
soldiers, separated from their divisions
and aimlessly roaming the French coun
tryside, are caught in a German pocket*
In the course of his adventures
Murphy turns a scared fledgling soldier
(Dean Jones) into a fighter and falls
in love with Simone (Taina Elg), young
French farm girl, whose house serves as
headquarters. And in the story*s hiamor-
ous ending, he routs not only the enany
but also his own personal antagonist,
the gold-bricking ex-sergeant Orville
Hutchmeyer (Xige Andrews), who has been
gunning for him.

baby daughter have returned to their
home in Cincinnati, Ohio after spending
two weeks with his parents, Mr, and
Mrs. Don Warren at their home on the
Country Club Grounds.
Visiting in the home of Mr, and
Mrs, M,A, Geddie, in Cullasaja^Heights
recently were Hr, and Mrs, JJ”'** MacNillan
of Anderson, S,C, and children; and Mrs,
Ed Wilkins, Mrs. Nettie Allen, and Mrs.
Iz Fountain, of Lumberton, N.C.
Mr. and Mrs. W,N. Norman of Winston-
Salem, N,C, were week-end guests of Mr.
and Mrs. James W, Norman and Mr. and
