Those attending were* Rev® and Mrs* J«A. Kahler, Mr# and Mrs* Lenn Talley, Mrs* Theodore Blmore, Miss Jean Elmore, Jean Wood, Dotty Dowdle, John Kahler, Buddy Elmore, Clifford Talley, Larry Wood and Jimmy Crane. HOSPITAL PATIENTS Recent patients at the Highlands Community Hospital include: Ted Buchanan, Sidney McCarty, Mrs* Wilmyra Butler, Mr# Pete Grey, Mrs* Arretta Oliver Branson, and Sam Hunter^ and Mr* Talmadge Lance. Recently discharged fran the hospital were: Mr* J. Lamb Perry, Mrs, Luther Picklesimer, Mr, G*C, Kirkland, Mr, Grover Watson, Ted Buchanan, Mr, Sidney McCarty, Mrs, Wilmyra Butler, and Mrs, Oliver Branson* HIGHLANDS MINERAL SOCIETY In spite of heavy rain very good specimens were found by members of the Highlands Mineral Society who went on a field trip to HolbroGks* ruby mine in Cowee Sunday# Dr, Richard Halton was host on the trip and others going includ ed Miss Blanche Davenport, Dr* Thelma Howell, Mr* and Mrs* Leo Hauser, Mr» Collar, Pres* of Miami Gem and Lapidary Assoc*, Mr, Lewis Dendy, Mr* Alvin Crowe, Dr* and Mrs* Martin Waderwitc, Martian Waderwitc, and Mr* and Mrs* Kenneth Hill* The next meeting of the Society will be on September 8 at 8 SCO P*M, with Mr* Archie Jellen as host.
