the past two years in Stuttgart, Gennany
as a recreation worker with the American
Red Cross is spending a two months
vacation with her parents, Mr* and Mrs*
Frank B* Cook* At the end of that time
she will report for an assignment with
the Red Cross in the Southeastern Area
of the U.S.

HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB MEETS
On Tuesday, May 26, the Heme Dem^
onstration Club had an all day work shop
meeting to get ready for the Hospital
Bazaar* They are making quilts which
are to be auctioned off for the hospiteil
in July* They had a covered dish lunch
and there were about I4, people present
some of whom were visitors* The regular
meetings are t he third Monday of each
month at 7t30 p*m* in Highlands Methodist

Miss Peggy DuPree daughter of Rev*
and Mrs* R«B* DuPree was recently en
tered in the "Miss Ifeiverse** contest
sponsored by the Optimist Clubs of South
Carolina*
Peggy was elected "Miss Oconee
County^ and on June 5 she went to l^tle
Beach for the **Sun-Pun'* Festival to
compete for the title of *^ss South
Carolina*
Peggy who was only eighteen in
May will be a senior at Erskine College
next year \Aiere she is majoring in
Business Education and Math*
