THE HIGHLANDS MINERAL SOCIETy The Annual Meeting of the Highlands Mineral Society was held in the Museum Building at 8iOO P*M., June 15, 1959» Twenty nine members and several visitors were present* The business included a Minute on the late Thomas Cobb Harbisoni one cf the Founders of the Society, reports from the secretary-treasurer and from the program, field trip and membership ccasmittees. At this meeting the budget was worked on* A budget estimate for the fiscal year 1959-60 is on file in the Town Office and is open for public inspection at anytime# The budget estimate for the year 1959-60 is ®.34,696*00* The budget will not be adopted until sometime in Jiily, A new attorney for the Town of Highlands was also appointed at this meeting being Mr* Guy L* Houk of Pl*ank- lin* NEWS FROM HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL A new freezer was delivered emd in stalled at the Hospital on Monday of this week* The freezer will be used for ice for use with oxygen tents* Miss Enid Stevens is working at the Hospital as a nurses aid this summer* Ihe Hospital has been filled with patients this week and has been full repeatedly to more than capacity* A
